Well, I’m currently single and… It’s funny, because I hear you guys say, ‘You know, you must have a lot of female admirers Alex’ and I’m like, where are they, mate?

My fans are great, my fans are fantastic!

I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the support that these people I don’t know and who don’t really know me — but kind of know me — give me all the time. The letters that come in, the gifts that come in. The way they get behind the things that I do. Like, I’m really passionate about Donate Life and my position with their organization and continuing that relationship and doing what I can for them. The way the fans just come… just.. the fan initiative, they get together and they raise awareness themselves, you know, and all of a sudden they’ve listed another thousand donors. So that stuff, you can’t really say thank you enough for that stuff. You just have to humbly smile and be deeply grateful for that sort of support and I AM deeply grateful and to be quite honest… you never think, like I’m still in denial about it, but I never think, I don’t know… I’m just me. I am who I am. I get up and look in the mirror and I see the same guy I see every day. I’ve been doing this for a long time; I love it, it’s my job but at the end of the day I’m just me with my people, you know? There’s a whole group of people in the world that love me and care about my future and stuff. I’m deeply humbled.

Nun, ich bin zur Zeit Single und..es ist lustig, weil ich euch Leute sagen höre; Du weisst, du musst viele weibliche Verehrerinnen haben und ich; Wo sind sie Kumpel?

Meine Fans sind toll, meine Fans sind fantastisch!

Ich denke nicht, dass ich mich jemals an die Unterstützung gewöhnen werde, dass diese Leute, die ich nicht kenne, und die mich nicht wirklich kennen - aber mich auf eine Art kennen - mir ihre ganze Zeit geben. Die Briefe die reinkommen, die Geschenke die reinkommen. Die Art wie sie hinter dem stehen was ich tue.
Ich bin wirklich sehr leidenschaftlich bei Donate Life dabei und mit meiner Position in deren Organisation, ich tue alles was ich kann für sie um diese Beziehung fortzusetzen.
Die Art wie die Fans darauf zukommen..die Faninitiative, sie kommen zusammen und sie sind sich selbst bewusst, und auf einmal haben sie (Donate Life) noch einmal Tausend Spender verzeichnet. So, diese Sache, ..du kannst nicht genug danke sagen, für diese Sache. Du kannst demütig lächeln und zutiefst dankbar sein für diese Art von Unterstützung und ICH BIN zutiefst dankbar und um ehrlich zu sein..du denkst niemals sowas wie, ich bin noch beim verläugnen(???), aber ich denke nie...ich weiß nicht..ich bin einfach ich. Ich bin wer ich bin. Ich stehe auf und schau in den Spiegel und ich sehe den gleichen Typen den ich jeden Tag sehe.
Ich tu das schon lange, ich liebe es, es ist mein Job aber am Ende eines Tages bin es nur ich, mit meinen Leuten, weisst Du? Da ist eine ganze Gruppe auf der Welt die mich liebt und sich um mein Zeug und meine Zukunft kümmert. Ich bin zutiefst demütig.
